Patrick Leaper
Realtor / Partner
Patrick is one of three original co-founders of Red Oak Realty. A native of Philadelphia, Patrick moved to the Bay Area in 1969 after completing his college education in Business Administration. His real estate career began in 1972 as an associate with a local East Bay firm. Four years later, on January 4, 1976, he and his two partners opened the doors of Red Oak Realty with a staff of eight. Red Oak's innovative approach to real estate at that time created a buzz of enthusiastic interest within the local real estate community. A short year later the firm’s growth dictated the need for larger quarters as it had grown 400%. Today, with new partners and a staff of 80+, Red Oak Realty remains the largest independent real estate firm in its market.
Patrick's enthusiastic leadership, coupled with his partners’ operational skills, has allowed him to be one of the area's annual sales leaders year in and year out, serving over 1,000 clients both in the residential and investment arenas.
He was a partner in a successful development firm from 1979 to 1999, developing properties and partnerships which included residential, office, retail and mixed use projects in Berkeley, Lafayette, Larkspur, El Cerrito and Albany.
Patrick, along with his original partners, started the firm’s 401C organization – R.O.O.F. – which has raised nearly $1,000,000 since its inception, aiding local grass roots organizations in and around the East Bay. The first area real estate firm to do so, he is proud to know that R.O.O.F. has instigated others to follow its lead.
As a 12-year Board member and Officer of the Alameda County Crisis Support Services group, Patrick's contributions include the organization’s ownership and relocation to its current location.
Working since 2005 in partnership with his daughter, Gillian Leaper-Leslie, they have combined their efforts and continue their brand of client assistance which includes an abundance of experience, integrity and local knowledge.
