Maxwell Park
Maxwell Park is a quiet, friendly neighborhood of small winding
streets. Nestled in the leafy Oakland hills above High Street
and west of Mills College. Cited by the San Francisco Chronicle
a few years ago as a place where home values had doubled nearly
overnight, it’s enjoy increasing popularity as a place to live.
Developed in the 1930s and 40s, the homes here consists of
modest 2-3 bedroom residences in various styles including
Spanish, English Tudor and traditional homes. Many of the
Craftsmen bungalows boast the same kind of charming details as
similar homes found in Oakland, Berkeley and Albany.
Maxwell Park is roughly bounded by Interstate 580 on the east,
Brookdale Avenue on west, Monticello on the north and 55th Ave
on the south. Residents here can do their shopping in nearby San
