In 1997, Patty Flores started her career in the housing and construction industry when she and her husband opened their drywall business in the East Bay. The company grew very quickly throughout the region, and currently employs 80 people. They also began buying real estate, both residential and commercial, realizing that it was an excellent investment in their future. Recognizing the housing needs of their employees to settle in the area, and having experienced firsthand the lengthy and sometimes difficult process of buying a home, Patty progressed naturally into helping others fulfill the American dream of homeownership. She earned her real estate license in 2004 and has assisted numerous homeowners and investors in purchasing and selling properties since then.
Patty’s goal first and foremost is to make the process of buying and selling real estate as clear and efficient as possible, and to ensure that she serves her clients as an exceptional fiduciary. She focuses on developing long lasting relationships with her clients, who are highly satisfied with her services and know that she is there for them, to answer their questions and to help them resolve issues one year or even twenty years after the sale has closed.
Patty is one of ten agents who represent all of Alameda Public Guardians conservetees' properties. She currently represents twelve bankruptcy properties, two of which have successfully closed, and an additional four trustee sales are coming soon. Patty has not only successfully closed many REOs but has advised clients how to prepare and flip them, and closed those sales too. She has facilitated probate sales both with court and without court confirmation, in addition to closing about a dozen short sales.
Fluent in Spanish, Patty is an active member of the National Association of Hispanic Realtors, and volunteers with the Redwood Heights Elementary Parents-Teachers Association where her two daughters attend school. She actively raises funds to support a children's orphanage in Mexico as well as personally supporting the orphanage through regular contributions. The entire Flores family participates in volunteering and mentoring at the orphanage during semi-annual visits to Mexico. She formerly worked closely with ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) and with the Unity Council to continuously learn how to best advocate for her low-income clients.
As a wife and the mother of two talented, athletic daughters, Patty loves being part of the East Bay Community and contributing in any and every way she can, whether it is fundraising for the Oakland Unified School District, volunteering her time with children, or helping you get into the home you've worked hard for and deserve. It was my first time selling a home (a short sale) and I had read in blogs about the painful experience of short selling a house because of the multiple parties involved in the process. I contacted Patty Flores and from the beginning she made me feel like everything was under control, and explained to me in very simple terms the steps in the process.
She took a look at the house right away, recommended some small changes that would make the house more “salable,” and worked with me promptly to have the house on the market at the desired time. She arranged to have potential buyers visiting my house during my working hours, so that I wouldn’t be bothered while I was at home, which made the house showing a painless process for me.
We received an offer within the first week and successfully sold it without any issues.
